Mark Wolfinger has been a professional options trader since 1977. I decided that I wanted to start out trading in options but figured the responsible thing to do was to educate myself about them before hand. Mark Wolfinger's Rookie's Guide to Options 2nd edition is an excellent start. He goes into detail very well about all the different strategies- writing covered calls to spreads all the way to iron condors. He's also very reasonable and level headed in his book and not some kind of blow hard/ get rich quick writer. Well I'm not at the advanced level trading yet but his sound advice has been very helpful. Now that I've been trading for a little while I've gone back to reread some chapters and have picked up more insight. I would recommend this book, in addition to others, for anyone contemplating trading in stock options.

This is the best book on the subject that I have come across to date. Its author must be a teacher by nature, because his approach leaves no questions unanswered (and this is not an easy subject to address). It is very methodical in the way it covers the various subtopics, and it comes with sound advice on what one can and should do if s/he decides to put their newfound knowledge to work. What is fascinating is that it also dispels some of the wrong notions that are prevalent out there with regard to the risks associated with the various schemes one could use in the options market. All and all, this is a must read for anybody interested in investing in the stock market in a serious way.

This book is fantastic. Options are presented in an easy to understand format and the complexity in trades slowly increases through each chapter after part 1. My recommendation is to read this book slowly with a notebook and phone by your side. Along with every example of XYZ stock he presents in the book, I tried to find a real world example to work side by side through. This technique has really opened the door for me to the world of options. Be warned, options should be used to hedge and increase your odds of seeing consistent, sometimes smaller gains, if you're buying this book because you're trying to hit it big real quick, this book won't help you (And the book that does help you with that goal may leave you bankrupt). I truly love this book and am recommending it to anyone who wants to know about the risk/rewards of options trading.

It truly helped me to understand buying and selling options. Do the quizzes and make sure you can answer them; they are the key.

Excellent intro to options, especially for someone with a working knowledge of financial markets, stocks, etc. Book emphasizes a prudent approach to risk management, which is refreshing.

It's called "THE Rookies Guide" but is suitable for all levels of competence. This offering is even a great refresher course for many experts. Buy it you'll love it!

The book title & cover are pretty misleading. This book main focus of the book seems to be them promoting their virtual Assistant business. They go over how they built their business, month by month, but the business is only 1 year old. They refer to times as 'the early days', but the business really still is in its early days.They discuss how to they use tools like Slack, Trello, and Chargify to 'Optimize, Automate, and Outsource' some parts of their business (and say that they coach clients to do the same thing), but don't go into a lot of specific detail on how other companies can do the same thing (they offer consulting services to tell you those details).I guess at the current price of $2.99, it was worth that price (as it's interesting to read the process of their 1st year in business), but the book (especially the first 3rd or so of it) largely reads as a sales pamphlet for their business. If you're looking to learn 'How to optimize, automate, & outsource everything in your business' (as the book cover states), you'll likely want to look elsewhere. One of the authors, Ari Meisel, has another book that sounds like it's actually more about that than this book is.

I've never given an Amazon review, but this book was such a horrendous waste of time (which is saying something given it's length) that I felt compelled to warn others about it. This "book" is essentially a crappy diary in which the authors write poorly, think they poop gold, and then try to convince you that they poop gold by telling you about amazing new tools like email automation, trello, and common sense.If you're under fifty or have any sense of what business (or business technology) is like today, then do not waste your time on this thing. I'm appalled at myself for spending money on it. The best thing about this book is that it will force me to take some time to reflect on my life choices that lead me here, so hopefully I'll never be in a similar situation again.

Meh, I don't why but I was expecting a bit more than a 10,000 ft overview. It read like a long form sales letter. Some takeaways but there are better books on doing more with less.

The story of how they get from zero to one is amazing and inspiring, but I would liked a more distilled book. May one with better structured chapters with the clear lessons for the reader stated. Though, the advice about tech tools is great.

It's interesting, but not the "How To" manual I was expecting. It's more or less a log of their own experience launching their virtual assistant company from idea to full business.

I felt like I was reading a giant advertisement for the authors' VA company. Not a lot of applicable information.

I'm a huge fan of Ari's first book so I purchased this as soon as I knew about it. There were a few tools mentioned that I didn't know much about and I found it useful to hear how they are used.

I've followed Ari for years ever since taking his SkillShare class. This book is a quick read, but holds an enormous amount of functional real world examples. It is not impossible to start a business. It takes careful planning and this book is not only about the journey, the actual thought process that was used to create the framework to Optimize, Automate, Outsource.
